Port Charlotte Goodwill Job-Link to Host MicroEnterprise Institute Q-and-A Session

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - March 13, 2013 - PRLog -- The Goodwill Southwest Florida MicroEnterprise Institute will host a question- and- answer session for people considering starting their own small businesses at the Goodwill Job-Link Center in Port Charlotte, 2325 Tamiami Trail. The session will be held on March 28th at 6:00 p.m. The public is invited to learn about the MicroEnterprise program, ask questions, and interested participants will have the opportunity to sign-up for the next MicroEnterprise session, which starts April 15th.

The MicroEnterprise Institute is a six-week program which helps aspiring entrepreneurs develop skills and training needed to run their own small businesses. Mentors work directly with participants to help the potential small business owners prepare a business plan.

“This will be a great way for those interested in starting their own business to learn about how the MicroEnterprise Institute can benefit them,” says Dorothy Browning, Program Manager of The Goodwill SWFL MicroEnterprise Institute. “We look at the feasibility of participants’ business ideas and guide them through the start-up process. This program creates opportunities for people.”

At the end of the program, graduates will have the opportunity to apply for microloans to help launch their new business ventures. Program managers hope that by providing small business training and avenues for funding, The Goodwill SWFL MicroEnterprise Institute will spark economic growth in the community.
