Funds Raised for Housing Charity

March 13, 2013 - PRLog -- BOURNECOAST, Bournemouth’s Buy to Let (B2L) specialists are delighted with money they raised for charity at the end of last year.

Enjoying the festive season, they gave out mince pies to shoppers during Christmas carols at the farmers market and the Westbourne Christmas light switch on.

Despite the cold weather, it was a beautiful day and the event was very well attended.  Bournecoast ‘elves’ handed out mince pies and people were happy to donate money to the very worthy BCHA.

Lorna Trent, Fundraising Manager for the Charity said: “Heartfelt thanks to Bournecoast for your extremely kind donations collected at the switching on of the Lights.  St Paul’s night-shelter helps over 500 people each year to escape the danger that rough sleeping poses to their personal safety and to their health and wellbeing, so all donations help to make a big difference.”

Alex Eaton, Marketing Manager for Bournecoast said: “It was a real pleasure.  My colleagues and I thoroughly enjoyed the event as everyone was in a festive mood and gave generously.

She added, “As a letting and estate agent our job is to find people warm and safe homes to live in, so it is important that we also remember the not so fortunate who need our help – especially during the cold winter months.”

BCHA has been helping homeless and vulnerable people for over 40 years.  They help over 10,000 people each year off the street - out of abuse, over skills barriers and onto independence.  Whether its homelessness, domestic violence, educational disadvantage or just the need for help and advice, they offer people the support they need.
