Amazing Kidneys! Protect your kidneys, Save your heart!' – Special Camp by Alchemist Hospital

GURGAON, India - March 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Till 13th march 200 people have participated in this camp and approximately 21 people were infected with kidney diseases.

Dr. Shashidhar Shree Niwas (Nephrologist) said, In these 5 days that major issue come out side, 10-12 % people of general population of our country are suffering from kidney diseases. Most of the people are suffering from hypertension and diabetes; these kinds of problems are converted in kidney diseases in future. This major issue is increasing day by day because people were not aware with this problem and they don’t have time to mind it.  Mostly people infected with the kidney diseases including polycystic kidney disease, obstructive uropathy, glomerulonephritis etc, because they were not aware with this problem in initial stage. Main cause of this problem, people are becoming irresponsible about their health, food and lifestyle. They don’t have time for their health.

The objective of this special camp on World Kidney day is to raise awareness about our amazing kidneys. Highlight that diabetes and high blood pressure are key risk factors for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), to encourage transplantation as a best-outcome option for kidney failure and the act of organ donation as a life-saving initiative.

Dr. S. S. Niwas said that awareness about the various kidney diseases and the preventions for those diseases is very necessary. During the camp, Dr. Niwas told the various ways to keep the Kidneys Healthy – like we have to, Keep fit and active, Keep regular control of your blood sugar levels, blood lipids and anaemia, Monitor blood pressure, reduce if necessary, Eat healthy and keep your weight in check and the most important is don’t smoke.
