Q (scheduled to perform at SXSW 2013)
Q will be performing in the MidWest Monsters Showcase at Republic Live and Gorilla Music Showcase at Headhunters on Wednesday, March 13th and on Thursday, March 14th in the Live Mix Tapes Showcase at Red 7 and in the Media Room Showcase at Bureau Lifestyles Clothing.
A product of Cleveland’s fast-growing indie music scene, the artist formerly known as JQ will be taking the stage to perform new music from his much-anticipated EP project, “Loud Life”. Currently set to be released this spring, the EP’s first single ‘Fly Low’ produced by JP (producer of MGK’s ‘Hold on Shut Up’ ft. Jeezy and MGK’s street anthem ‘Ratchet’) is a bass-filled track reminiscent of modern day hip hop anthems and mottos.
As one-fourth of iPhonic, Q is known for his catchy lyrics riddled with tales of late-night concerts, non-stop partying and summer fun; One of the band’s hit songs and fan favorite, ‘Shut It Down’ features Krayzie Bone. Since the announcement of his solo effort, Q has quickly gained a loyal following and opened for national recording artists Trinidad James and King Chip.

Q’s unique style can be credited to his eclectic taste in music, citing influences from all genres ranging from Jay Z to Johnny Cash. These influences are heard and felt with every nuance of his music. Always the artist, Q writes and performs all of his own material. Allowing for the true music lover to appreciate the talent that Q possesses with every verse he lays down.
Breaking into the Hip Hop scene years before his success as the front man for the band iPhonic, Q has been a staple in the Cleveland underground music scene. Gaining respect as an MC, in the studio and through live performances, obtaining a level of both mainstream and underground credibility that few artists attain. Using that success as a springboard, Q plans to take his career to the next level with a much-anticipated solo album dropping in Spring 2013.
