A DEEPER SHADE OF BLUE Announces Blue Carpet & Movie Screening at Downtown Disney in Anaheim

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 12, 2013 - ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Filmmaker/director Jack McCoy's “A Deeper Shade of Blue” will barrel into Downtown Disney in Anaheim on Thursday, March 21 for a special one-night “blue carpet” and film screening event presented by New World Distribution and Hawaiian Airlines. The groundbreaking film will be preceded with surfing luminaries and music celebrity arrivals, hula girls, a surf band, plus a special welcome from McCoy. Following the screening of the “greatest surfing story ever told,” McCoy will be joined by surfing legends for a Q&A session, before inviting attendees to an exclusive party at ESPN Zone.

Photo opps and one-on-one interviews will be available on the blue carpet.

“A Deeper Shade of Blue”—which combines innovative underwater cinematography techniques with a unique narrative structure to uncover the art of surfing like never before—will be presented in select movie theaters nationwide on Thursday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. (local time). The national cinema event will begin with a very special pre-recorded welcome from the red carpet premiere in Hawaii, with music by Kaukahi featuring Jack Johnson. Special features include a panel discussion with Jack and world‐renowned surfing legends, plus the premiere of a Sir Paul McCartney/ McCoy video collaboration, “Blue Sway.” Adding emotion to the imagery, the film is also coupled with a soundtrack featuring Paul McCartney & Youth, Foo Fighters, Coldplay and many others.
