The Burlington studio boasts 13 state of the art music-grade teaching rooms and is staffed by some of Ontario’s leading musicians. Students can get piano lessons, guitar lessons, drum lessons, singing lessons and more - even ukulele!
“With us, the experience is different” beams Geoff Breen, the centre’s owner. “Our music teaching rooms are equipped with iMacs and internet connectivity for accessing teaching materials on-the-spot to provide individualized student learning experiences. Our teachers are post-secondary educated in the instruments they teach and are real performing artists. Parents love us for the learning but also because our spacious waiting lounge is like a living room…complete with light music, complementary coffee, and comfortable couches. Student’s siblings can enjoy video games on our flat screen, too”, Breen adds.
The success of the music centre has also led to the development of group programs such as Pop Shop and Rock Shop. Students learn in a group setting and collaborate as a vocal group or band. A toddler program labelled Tot Shop is also offered, which provides music centred fun and contributes to children’s cognitive development.
