The keynote address will be given by Jim Onalfo, NYPD Deputy Commissioner and CIO, a native of Waterbury, Connecticut.

Mr. Onalfo is renowned as a highly-accomplished, much-awarded police official, as well as an acclaimed international businessman. We are very fortunate to welcome his insightful comments to our Chamber’s most prestigious annual celebration of the accomplishments of our members.” In 2007, NYPD Deputy Commissioner and CIO Jim Onalfo was named one of the “Top 5 CIO’s” by “Computerworld” Under Jim Onalfo’s direction, the NYPD has overhauled its IT environment, investing over $1 billion during the past eight years. He implemented the Real Time Crime Center; the detective case management system where 1M cases are managed in a modern online computer system; the PETS evidence inventory system; and many new systems and infrastructures. Prior to the NYPD, Onalfo was vice president and CIO reporting to the chairman of Stanley Works where he overhauled all their major IT programs. Previous to that position, he was CIO to the $50B Kraft Foods International and he lived and worked in the U.S., Brazil, Australia, and South Korea, and directed Information Technology in over 40 countries with 40 CIO’s around the world. Reporting directly to the Kraft International CEO, Onalfo’s role was to ensure all CIO’s supported their businesses properly. During the April 2nd luncheon meeting, the Waterbury Regional Chamber will recognize companies which are celebrating milestone anniversaries of 30, 25, and 15 years of membership in 2013. Loyal members being honored will include companies celebrating 30 years of membership: Waterbury Symphony Orchestra, and Lenkowski, Lonergan & Co., LLP, CPA’s; and companies celebrating 25 years of membership: Crystal Rock, LLC; Fascia’s Chocolates, Inc.; Tom’s Foreign Auto Recyclers; and Western Connecticut Convention & Visitors Bureau. Companies celebrating 15 years of membership are: Acolyte Technologies Corporation; Premier Sponsor of the Annual Luncheon Meeting is Thomaston Savings Bank, and Corporate Sponsor is Carmody & Torrance, LLP. One of the largest Chambers in Connecticut, the Waterbury Regional Chamber represents over 1100 businesses in the Greater Waterbury region (Beacon Falls, Bethlehem, Cheshire, Middlebury, Naugatuck, Oakville, Oxford, Prospect, Southbury, Thomaston, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott, and Woodbury.
