Follow on Google News | Bedales hosts local dance showcaseBedales Olivier Theatre played host to a stunning display of local dance talent at the school’s annual Youth Dance Platform over the weekend.
By: Bedales Schools The lively fast moving show comprised various short works by the Hampshire Youth Dance Company, Frensham Heights, Totton College, Amesbury School, Petersfield Academy of Dance and students from Bedales and Bedales Prep, Dunhurst. Dunhurst Block 2 (year 8) pupils performed ‘Those magnificent men in their flying machines’. The Bedales AS Level exam trio performed ‘Shattered’ Erin Norris, Dance Teacher at Amesbury School, said: “We all had a fantastic day at Bedales. It was such a great opportunity for the pupils to meet other students and to get a chance to share work with each other. It was a really positive event and we are looking forward to next year already.” Keith Budge, Headmaster of Bedales Schools, said: “The Youth Dance Platform provides a wonderful opportunity for dance students to practise and perform in front of a knowledgeable and appreciative audience. We enjoy hosting this event, enabling local dance companies and school students to learn from each other through sharing their talents and passion for dance.” End
