Set in Monaco and starring Oscar winning actor Jean Dujardin and an excellent cast including Cécile de France, Tim Roth, and Emilie Dequenne, MÖBIUS tells the thrilling story of a Russian FSB spy sent to Monaco to monitor the actions of a powerful businessman. As part of this mission, the team recruits an American woman, Alice, a gifted financier working in a Russian bank. Suspecting imminent betrayal, the FSB agent breaks the golden rule and contacts Alice. A thrilling tale of international espionage and intrigue follows as they fall into a trap of passion that threatens to be their downfall.
In the film, the actors use real CryptoPhones as an integral part of their spy gear. These U.S. Government Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 certified encrypted phones are produced in Berlin by GSMK CryptoPhone AG and are available through the authorized distributor in Luxemburg, Sandstone s.a.
Written and directed by Eric Rochant (Mafiosa) and produced by Luc Besson (The Fifth Element, La Femme Nikita, Leon: The Professional)
The film script is based on the Möbius strip idea developed by German mathematician August Ferdinand Möbius. A Möbius Strip is "a non-orientable two-dimensional surface with only one side when embedded in three-dimensional Euclidean space." In other words, it’s a 3-d shape with only one side that goes on forever.
If you’re not already excited about the film, this trailer will certainly make you want to see it.
