LUTON, U.K. - March 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Having previously lived in Ireland, England, South Africa and Australia – Patrick has retired to a small fishing village on the Etang du Thau in the South of France. It was whilst living in South Africa that Patrick came across a Newspaper article reporting a real-life diamond theft which had taken place that he decided to put pen to paper and set about evolving the story.

It is 2006 and Major Vincent Hamilton is looking for a new career, having been invalided out of the British army after suffering a serious injury whist serving in Iraq. At just forty-three he is too young to live off his pension, and as each day passes he craves action and not a life filled with just fishing and golf.

After a chance encounter during a flight from the Middle East, Hamilton is recruited as a Private Investigator by Fortiscues - diamond dealers to the Queen - and is tasked with rescuing the pending collapse of their business. A rival dealership is selling diamonds at ridiculously low prices and it is his job to prove that the stones are being obtained illegally.

With his new role, Vince succeeds in his quest for action. Surrounded by murder and mayhem however, each day he takes a step closer to finding out the truth is another day he is lucky to stay alive.
