ProfessionalJobSearch.Org is Hiring. And It Doesn't Matter If You Are A Senior. Many people 50+ are looking for jobs in this economy. The closing of many corporations have left the older workforce scrambling for help.

Unemployment Numbers
One measure of long-term unemployment is those out of work for 27 weeks (six months) or more. As of September 2012, 40.1% of the unemployed had been looking for work for at least 27 weeks, near the record of 45.5% in March 2011. This is well above the 1980-2007 average of approximately 16% and the approximately 20-25% level typical in previous recessions since 1980.

Global Recession
The bursting of the U.S. housing bubble, which peaked in 2006, caused the values of securities tied to U.S. real estate pricing to plummet, damaging financial institutions globally. The global recession affected the entire world economy, with higher detriment in some countries than others. It is a major global recession characterized by various systemic imbalances and was sparked by the outbreak of the financial crisis of 2007–2008. As of December 2012, the economic side effects of the European sovereign debt crisis and limited prospects for global growth in 2013 and 2014 continue to provide obstacles to full recovery from the Great Recession

Social Security
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) does not offer the relief that many seniors hoped it would. When combined with the lost of a spouse and the continuing increase in bills senior citizens are having a harder time now than ever before.

The Age Discrimination Act was passed in 1975.
But if you talk to any senior citizen trying to find work in today's economy many will tell you that age discrimination is alive and well.
