My New Mommy by Lilly Mossiano: Helping people explain MtF transition to young children.

For those unfamiliar with the "My New" series, let us first say "Welcome!" This unique, one of a kind series is a series of short illustrated young children's books, aimed at introducing the concept of transgenderism to children age 3-12. It explains, in simple to understand concepts, the outward appearance changes and the social changes that can occur with the transition of a transgender person. For the moment, it includes a book for male to female, and a book for female to male, adult transgender people. It is set as the trans person being a parent figure, but can easily be used to explain any trans person to a child. The series is expected to expand to include other forms of LGBT people and/or age groups within the transgender community.

My New Mommy was originally published with PublishAmerica, but Ms. Mossiano's contract was terminated March 1st. This is Ms. Mossiano's personal message regarding the contract termination:

"As of March 1, 2013, Publish America has released me from the contract I had with them. I had been requesting this release due to their refusal to drop the price of my book. We have reached an agreement of release and have parted ways. Even though I harbor them no ill will, I would advise anyone who wishes to sign with them in the future to research them before signing a contract. My New Mommy will now be available through Spun Silver Productions just as my second book "My New Daddy" is. Through them, I am now in total control of my books and the price my books are to be sold at.
