The Aurora Awards is an international competition that for 16 years has recognized excellence in the independent film and video industry all over the world. This competition is designed to recognize excellence in the film and video industries, specifically targeting products, programs, and commercials that would not otherwise have the opportunity to compete on a national level, by focusing on non-national commercials, regional or special interest entertainment and corporate sponsored film and video. It is judged by professional peers and past winners from around the globe, with winners cited for creativity, message effectiveness, and technical quality.
