The Parkland Meetup is a newly formed business and technology incubator group to help provide a venue for people that have various technology areas of interest to network with each other, while at the same time allow local business owners a way to find local talent in the Parkland area of Southeast Missouri.
It was a full house at the Parkland Meetup, with approximately fifty Parkland Area innovators from different realms of technology that came together to share their specialties and provide support to others interested in pursuing the fields. Founder of the Parkland Meetup group and LocalTek, Bruce Marler, Farmington Mayor Mit Landrum, and President of Big River, Kevin Cantwell, were some of the many speakers at the event that spoke to the crowd about technology and its various uses. “What a great turn out. The purpose of this forum was evident tonight with a large crowd and the interaction between the people. There are many talented individuals in this area and we need to pull everyone together to develop the next generation of economic development. The use of technology will be that driving force”, said Kevin Cantwell.
The next Parkeland Meetup is already being planned. To sign up for an event or to find out more, please got to the Parkland Meetup - Tech and Startup Series on Facebook page, online at http://parklandmeetup.com/
