'History Winks' blog features interesting snippets of history

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - March 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Famed radio host Bob Steele was on Connecticut’s premier radio station, WTIC, for many years. His show included a feature he called “Tiddly Winks,” in which he read short, unusual news items from around the world. In that same vein, History Winks features short, interesting tales, but from the past.

Fiske has researched and written a number of local history articles relating to people in Saratoga County, New York. The articles were published in Ballston Spa Life, a weekly newspaper published by The Saratogian in upstate New York. He is also the author of the book Solomon Northup: His Life Before and After Slavery  (2012). He is also a co-author of the forthcoming Solomon Northup: The Complete Story of the Author of Twelve Years a Slave.
