Julie Caron releases debut CD "See for Miles"

LOS ANGELES - March 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Julie Caron’s love of music, especially singing, has been a part of her life since childhood, yet she didn't begin songwriting until she was thirty four years old.  Music, for Julie, is both joyful and powerfully healing. It helps her to understand herself and the world around her more fully.  The depth of her lyrics are fresh and compelling for one who has only been songwriting for a few years.  Since writing her first song in 2006 she has recorded an acoustic homemade EP called "Black Kettle" and is now debuting her first full length CD entitled "See For Miles".

The title track of her debut CD is a mid-tempo delight with crisp, clean vocals, an endearing storyline, catchy melody and great harmony.  It's a song of hope and learning from the past by being accountable not just for breaking others’ hearts,  but for breaking your own heart.  This CD showcases a breadth of musical styles as evidenced by the fusion of folk, pop and indie genres.  "Wide Awake" has a catchy beat with the soul of an R&B song and Julie's vocal style on this track has been compared to Dido.  Other tracks include heartbreaking ballads like "Who Is She" and "Precious Lives" and Julie's playful side reveals itself in her upbeat, flirty track "Unless You Want Me To(o)".

Julie's lyrics are accessible, unpretentious and heartfelt.  Her music is versatile with engaging melodies and soulful style.  The menagerie of well-told storylines is universal and multi-generational.
