The all-new C-MAX Energi plug-in should be thought of as a “hybrid plus.” It’s designed to deliver maximum efficiency by combining an advanced high-voltage lithium-ion battery and electric motor with a gasoline engine. And the results speak for themselves – with an EPA-estimated rating of 108 city/92 hwy/100 combined MPGe, C-MAX Energi turns in the best combined MPGe in its class. Because the gasoline engine does not run all the time, you may be able to go farther between refueling stops. C-MAX Energi has an EPA-estimated total range of up to 620 miles.** The plug-in capability allows you to fully charge C-MAX Energi in under three hours easily, using the available 240-volt charging station, or overnight, using a standard 120-volt outlet. The C-MAX Energi uses an air cooling system to regulate battery temperature and help maximize battery life, so you can get the most miles out of each charge. Another feature of the C-MAX Energi is EV mode. This is a button that lets you switch the vehicle between EV Now, Auto EV and EV Later. So you can choose which mode to drive in – electric only, gasoline only, or a combination of gas and electric.
