BOISE, Idaho - March 11, 2013 - PRLog -- BOISE, ID (March 11, 2013) – There’s a whole lot more than just “new location” at the Whole Foods Market in Boise, Idaho, as the store will demonstrate this Wednesday, March 13th, in a new matching gift online partnership with Social Good Network.

For one-day only this Wednesday, Social Good Network will match the first $1,000 in online donations made to the Whole Planet Foundation (http://www.wholeplanetfoundation.org) on the Social Good Network community website (http://www.socialgoodnetwork.com/support/VFRGRDyDobousRU) or via Social Good Network’s new Facebook app on Whole Foods Market Boise’s Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/WFMBoise?ref=ts&fref=ts).

“We’re always on the lookout for new and better, and this is a first for us,” said Matt Collins, marketing and community relations specialist for the Whole Foods Market Boise store.  “Online giving and social sharing really expands our fundraising opportunities by making it easy and convenient for people to give when they aren’t in the store.”

The campaign helps fund the Whole Planet Foundation (http://www.wholeplanetfoundation.org/)®, which seeks to alleviate poverty by empowering entrepreneurs in global communities through microcredit lending programs.  The overall campaign runs through March 31st.

“These loans are given to the poorest of the poor, with a focus on women,” said Lauren Evans, marketing and outreach specialist with Whole Planet Foundation in Austin, Texas.  The average first-time loan to a microcredit client is $166.  The private, nonprofit foundation was established by Whole Foods Market.

“It’s rewarding to partner with progressive brands like Whole Foods Market and use our online fundraising technology to expand fundraising and awareness for causes like Whole Planet Foundation,” said Russ Stoddard, Social Good Network Chief Do-Gooder and co-founder.
