re-engineering the drinks global supply chain.
“We are aiming to compete for the big retailers,” commented Mr Deer, Business Leader of Uniserve Drinks Logistics. “We understand the business. I’ve worked in it for nearly 20 years, previously as a Director of a large multinational who has a good percentage of the drinks logistics industry. We’ve seen the other logistics providers become complacent and their customers are no longer happy.”
Underpinned by the Groups global freight and IT platforms, together with Uniserve’s values of innovation and best in class customer service, this new division is looking to forge long term relationships with solutions that are specifically tailored to customer’s individual needs.
The drinks division is able to offer global coverage from all major locations, including its existing port-centric assets, to introduce cost efficiencies that can be passed on to the customer.
Matthew Deer, commented “We will be providing a true end-to-end tailor made product. We’re offering to take on more responsibility and help customers find cost and efficiency savings through the supply chain. We can also offer help with asset management, through our global trade management services and provide consultative services as well”
The launch was officially made at a reception for over 70 industry guests held at Uniserve Group head quarters at Upminster Court. Speakers included Iain Liddell, Uniserve Group Managing Director and special guest, Val Smith, Chairman of International Wine & Spirits Research.
