When asked why he is still busy at 81, his answer is immediate: “I’d rather burn out than rust away.” He adds, “Besides, I have something good I must share.”
He is a husband, father, grandfather, Bible teacher, radio broadcaster, former bank Workforce Diversity VP, and now a hot sauce entrepreneur.
Asked how the Jamaican Gourmet Hot Sauce is made, Audley smiles and says, “The secret is in the blend, and the blend is Audley’s secret. What I can tell you is the pimento berry is skillfully blended with scotch bonnet peppers, spices and the fruit of many lands, caressed by Jamaican rum and slow cooked to absolute perfection.”
His unique blend can be found around Ocala in local stores and various restaurants such as: Richard’s Place, Artisanal Dish, and more.
Audley is not shy when opening up about his hot sauce. “This sauce,” he says, “is not the hottest, but people are telling me it is the best. Don’t just take my word for it.” Read James Wreck’s independent review at eatmoreheat.com.
