The Silver Moonlight - One of the best shorts being made in Colorado.

March 9, 2013 - PRLog -- The Synopsis:

On a rainy night, a dead body is fished out of a lake and brought to a local morgue. The details of who she is or what happened to her are unknown. Death has transformed her face into an image of ghostly beauty - What drove the girl to such a grisly fate?

...In a sinister cabaret called "Madame Leander's," Sybille, the beautiful star attraction, sings her trademark chanson of "a romance that's false." However, she does not adhere the warnings of her own song and falls for a handsome young patron who frequents the club. She agrees to a horrific sacrifice with club's macabre owner in order to pursue the man she loves, but in the end the creditor must always be repaid... One way or another.

There comes a time in our life when we hunger for the passions and freedoms we otherwise lack in our mundane, day to day, constraints. A time when fortune intervenes and infatuation walks it's thunderous footsteps to the beat of our heart. A time when we mislay control over who and what we are. It is a force, so strong, it leaves us mystified, enamored, and even speechless... Sometimes we act on that impulse with a willingness to go on a journey, a longing to fly and let loves mysteries ride, and desire to take a risk...  and, from time to time, risk lives up to its name. Leaving you with a mistake you may have to pay far to steep of a price for...

Welcome the twisted world that is "The Silver Moonlight." You are invited to take this journey with us, but, beware, trouble lurks around ever corner and everything is not as it seems.          

The film is set in the 1930's-40's and uses the WWII German cinema of that time as it's inspiration. It draws on the unique visual and thematic characteristics created by the isolation of the, often forgotten and obscure, German Expressionist cinema that occurred during this tumultuous time in our history. It touches on many universal themes that carry over to our every day life.
