NCIV Welcomes Four New Board Members

March 8, 2013 - PRLog -- The National Council for International Visitors (NICV) is pleased to welcome four new Board Members. The last year has been one of transition and envisioning at NCIV. The organization has drafted a renewed strategic plan and is currently engaged in a board refresh of the NCIV brand. It is critical to have innovative, creative, and talented leadership during this time. NCIV is proud to introduce the latest edition to our leadership team: Peggy Parfenoff, Jacquelyn Gates Shipe, Ricardo Vanella, and Samuel Sterrett Jr.

Peggy Parfenoff is the Executive Director at WorldChicago, a non-profit that hosts U.S. Department of State and other federally sponsored visitors to Chicago. Helping to coordinate WorldChicago's hosting of more than 1,000 emerging world leaders in Chicago each year, Peggy brings years of experience and expertise in NCIV’s core programs.

Jacquelyn Gates Shipe is the Executive Director of the International Services Council of Alabama, a nonprofit organization that promotes global peace and understanding through citizen diplomacy. Jacquelyn also has 26 years' experience as a global leader in ethics and diversity with several multinational corporations and nonprofits including the World Bank Group.

Ricardo Vanella is an entrepreneur as well as a specialist in strategic positioning and business development. For the last 24 years he has provided professional services around the world to corporations, governments, and multilateral organizations. Ricardo is also the founder of the Argentine-American Network for Leadership (REAL) and the IVLP Network of the Americas (IANA).

Samuel Sterrett Jr. is a practicing attorney in the Washington, DC area. He specializes in corporate, tax, and technology law. In the past Samuel acted as clerk for Judge James S. Halpern, United States Tax Court, worked in international law for the Australian firm Allens Arthur Robinson in Melbourne and Sydney, and was an assistant in the Fulbright Program for the U.S. Information Agency.
