March 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Into Somerset reports record levels of investment into the county and unveils new marketing initiatives including a new business film in conjunction with media partner, the Daily Telegraph. The inward investment organisation announces it has created over 1000 jobs in the county since late 2009, which in salaries equates to an additional £28million for Somerset’s economy.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of the inward investment agency   fitting two new trailers in Framptons’ Transport Services fleet with a curtain livery based on its distinctive ‘well connected’ campaign, creating a mobile billboard for the county’s bespoke relocation services.

With the help of ambassadors to showcase the county’s clusters of diverse expertise, the curtain design encourages relocating businesses and entrepreneurs into the area. Stylish and eye catching, the curtain graphic promotes the benefits and credentials of Somerset in a highly cost effective way - the cost per mile is less than 2p - to a much wider national audience.

Cllr. Anne Fraser, Chair of Into Somerset, unveiled the new lorries at the opening of Framptons Transport Services’ new distribution centre in Shepton Mallett on Friday 1 March, in the presence of Tessa Munt, MP for Wells.

On Friday 8 March, a new film will launch, highlighting the benefits of running a business in Somerset and enjoying the lifestyle the county has to offer. The film– produced in conjunction with the Daily Telegraph’s Business Club – features a host of Into Somerset’s high profile ambassadors, as featured on the liveried lorries, including Deborah Meadon, Yeo Valley and Haynes Publishing.

Rupert Cox, CEO of Into Somerset, says, “The video and lorry curtains are innovative examples of how we promote Somerset as a great place to do business on a national scale. Through the use of ambassadors who are passionate about trading from Somerset – including the only UK helicopter manufacturer, AgustaWestland; Yeo Valley, which produces 25% of the country’s yoghurt; and Ariel Motors, which makes the fastest accelerating production car in the UK – we want to attract other high quality, creative and entrepreneurial businesses to generate more new jobs and boost Somerset’s economy further.”

Simon Saunders, Director of Ariel Motor Company and Into Somerset ambassador, whose latest Ariel Atom version 3.5 is featured on the lorry curtains, says, “We have lived and worked in Somerset for numerous years, having relocated from Buckinghamshire. We needed space to work with vehicles and were looking for an area that combined traditional rural life, with modern working capabilities, as well as good access to the coast, London and great schools – without being overcrowded or busy. To us, Somerset is a ‘working’ county, but one that retains its beauty and countryside.

“The nature of our growth means we do not need to be in an industrial centre and we can reap the benefits of working in a part of the country where we choose to live. We provide local people with skilled jobs and are delighted to have a reliable and enthusiastic workforce on our doorstep. Continuity and dependability are very important to us a business, allowing us to maintain our size and reputation.”

The film goes live on Friday 8 March and can be seen at www.telegraphbusinessclub.co.uk.
