"King of Strings" Ken Ford & Prominent Drummer, "J-Fly" Presents "The Unity Concert"

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 7, 2013 - This year, award-winning musician, Ken Ford along with his Board of Directors of The Ken Ford Foundation (http://www.thekenfordfoundation.org/) are joining forces with renowned drummer, Jorel "JFly" Flynn and "How Big Is Your Dream?!" Foundation to host the 2nd Annual "Unity Concert" and Fundraiser on March 23rd at The Porter Sanford III Performing Arts Center in Decatur, Georgia. This concert will provide a platform where prodigies and professionals share the stage together as they learn and practice all of the major aspects of music diversity through live entertainment. Also, a teen gala called "U-N-I-TY" will be hosted by teens as a leadership project to design and implement all the aspects of concert and event programming.

For the past three years, The Ken Ford Foundation (KFF) and How Big is Your Dream?! Foundation have been helping children realize their greatest life potential academically through exploring, mastering and guiding musical gifts and talents. Both Foundations have recognized the value of their causes by making this year's concert a collaborative effort for the community. Annette Davis Jackson, Executive Director of The Ken Ford Foundation states, "We have all seen a child skipping down the block, playing soccer, bouncing a basketball, painting their nails or even programming for a robotics competition. The focused attention and passion is undeniable. The event schedule is as follows:

6:00 - 7:00 p.m. - Arizona's VIP Reception
6:00 p.m. - U-N-I-TY Teen Gala
"8:00 p.m. - "Unity Concert" featuring "J-Fly", Ken Ford, The Ken Ford Youth Symphony, The HBIYD?! Dream Mates and a Surprise Celebrity Guest. Other special guests include: Trina Broussard, Latrese Bush and Rahbi.

General Admission tickets are $35 in advance, $45 at the door, Arizona's VIP Reception $75 advance only; U-N-I-TY Teen Gala $10. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the programs and services offered by both foundations, including: donation of musical instruments, mentorships, music advocacy, and scholarships.
