Kia Reveals the All-New Forte 5-Door at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 7, 2013 - Kia Motors America incited the 2013 Chicago Auto Show with the all-new hatchback version of the Kia Forte. Fisher Kia in Boulder (http://www.fisherkia.net/kia-dealers-boulder) is proud to announce that the 2014 Forte 5-door is expected to become available on their lot later in 2013. The all-new 5-door SX trim hatchback version of the Forte is powered by a new 1.6L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This new engine produces 201 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque, which makes the new Forte 5-door SX the most powerful of the Forte models.

Kia is hoping that the usefulness of the hatchback body style combined with the sporty turbocharged engine of the SX model will make the 5-door a fierce competitor in its segment.

The 2014 Kia Forte 5-Door (http://www.fisherkia.net/2014-kia-forte-5-door) will be available in two trim levels, each with different powertrain options. The EX trim will have a 2.0L gasoline direct injected four-cylinder engine that puts out 173 hp and 154 lb-ft of torque with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The SX is more performance-geared, and it has the turbocharged 1.6L option that makes 201 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. The SX also offers a choice between a manual and automatic transmission, with the automatic featuring paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel.

Kia keeps to its tradition of offering plenty of technological, comfort, and safety features. The EX base version will have UVO eServices with a rearview camera, Bluetooth, Sirius satellite radio, FlexSteer, a leather wrapped steering wheel with several mounted controls, fog lights, and LED positioning headlights. The SX version has larger wheels, dual chrome exhaust, LED taillights, and more aggressive styling. The exterior styling includes black gloss grille inserts and carbon fiber trim. Both versions have available a navigation system, a heated steering wheel, power seats, heated seats, leather seats, and automatic climate control.

The cabin design of the 5-door is similar to the interior of the Forte sedan, which offers driver-centered controls, a practical layout, and lots of space. The interior is made with high-quality materials that have several soft touch areas.
