The interview unveiled the process behind Bibhu Mohapatra’s Fall 2013 Collection for New York Fashion Week. Mohapatra talked about the inspiration behind the reoccurring mosaic pattern presented on many of his pieces. The designer also described the ideal woman that he imagines wearing his designs.

Mohapatra offers his views on why he does not incorporate seasonal trends in his designs, “By the time people notice trends, the ‘trend’ has usually gone through its novelty phase, and has already been reincarnated many times. So, why not make my own trends?”
