The event was held on March 6th, at 4:00 PM at the bank’s new location in Naperville Plaza at 24 W. Gartner, Suite 104. “We are excited to have opened our new location, and even more excited to start providing the people of Naperville with the local community banking services that we are known for,” said Scott Wehrli, Member of the Board of Directors. Pat Benton, Market President, agreed, saying “We couldn’t think of a better ribbon-cutter than Mayor Pradel, the quintessential Naperville resident, to open the doors of this quintessential Naperville bank.” First Community Bank has been renovating the storefront that has a history of banking for the past several months. The location was home to Washington Bank & Trust in the 1970’s, founded by a group of local businessmen – the original vault is still in place. First Community Bank has updated and upgraded the retail space and added a drive through lane around the building. First Community Bank is a Naperville bank in every sense of the word; the board of directors is made up of local businesspeople who have each personally invested in the bank. The focus of the bank is growing the local economy, with a professional banking team overseeing the loaning of local money to Naperville area businesses. FDIC insured, First Community Bank is a branch of First Community Bank of Joliet.
