There will also be several artworks on consignment that will open at very low reserves. All the artworks available to collect from Baterbys’ own collection (with the exception of the artworks on consignment) This auction will benefit The Assistance Fund, a leading 501(c)3 nonprofit organization created to make access to medications a reality for patients who are critically or chronically ill. The roster of programs they run throughout the year can be summed up in the words of their founder, “We strive every day to achieve a world where no child or adult goes without medication due to an inability to pay.” On Saturday, many artworks will start at very low reserves, some of them at $100 or below! There are many subjects and styles to choose from. Impressionistic landscapes and seascapes; abstract or realist works; portraits of women or families; cubist and surrealist masterpieces; One “star” lot is a signed etching (aquatint and drypoint plate) by Pablo Picasso entitled, “Souvenirs: Pablo Picasso is ranked as the most prolific artist who ever lived. Not only did he create actual artworks at an unprecedented level, but he also pioneered revolutionary art movements that changed the face of modern art and became one of the most influential individuals in the hallways of history alongside colonialists, scientists, political leaders and other key figures. He was constantly involved in social matters and was therefore not unhinged on the pressing realities of his time.
