Happauge, LI, NY – FIAT Club America will host its 30th Annual National Convention from July 18-21, 2013, in Happauge, LI, NY at the Hyatt Long Island. This year, the “FIAT FreakOut,” as the event is called, continues celebrating the return of the FIAT brand to North America with the new model 500L. FIAT USA is a major sponsor and will have a significant presence at the event to showcase its iconic Italian design and ownership lifestyle as well as new models.

The FIAT FreakOut is a fun-filled four-day weekend designed expressly for FIAT enthusiasts of historic and vintage cars and new models. The weekend includes scenic driving tours, vintage car displays, festive meals and banquets, a classic car movie and more – with the showcase being the formal Concorso this year at the beautiful Old Westbury Gardens, followed by an awards presentation on Saturday evening at the Long Island Hyatt. The festivities are expected to draw several hundred Italian car owners and attendees this year. This year the convention is located on the historic Motor Parkway home of the Vanderbilt Cup Races of the early 1900s.

At a previous year’s convention, club members placed early reservations for special Fiat 500 “Prima Edizione” (First Edition) models. Designed as a collector vehicle, each Fiat Cinquecento Prima Edizione features a sequentially numbered vehicle identification number (VIN) and unique, matching numbered badge.

The club welcomes owners of all Italian marques such as Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Lancia, Lamborghini, Pininfarina, Bertone, etc.

Fiat 500® and Abarth® performance models are available now at FIAT Studio locations across the country. The new four door 500L is available now and the all electric 500e will be available this summer. With beautiful Italian styling, its city-friendly four-passenger size, engaging driving dynamics and a 1.4-liter MultiAir® engine, the Fiat 500 builds on the features that have made it a favorite with generations of international drivers.
