March 7, 2013 - PRLog -- Box scores do not lie!  With 75 points in just 85 minutes of game action (last 3 games), Sacramento's Marcus Thornton, aka "lil buckets", is on a terror.  The 6'4 guard is putting up big numbers on both ends of the floor and turning some heads in the process.  Averaging upwards of 20 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists over the last ten games, Thornton is making a strong case for himself as the NBA's most efficient player.    The 3 year veteran is literally scoring a point every minute he is on the floor while shooting better than 52% from the field, 90% from the line, and almost 50% from three (over the last 10 games).  Connecting on 19 on his last 40 attempts from beyond the arc, the young star is certainly making the most of the limited opportunities he has been given this season.  Thornton is getting just over 20 minutes of game action per contest, which seems inconceivable for a player of his stature, especially in lite of his recent play.  I have asked before but I will ask again.  How much longer can first year Head Coach Keith Smart keep the streaking Thornton out of a starting role, which he has proven time and again he can handle?  With this continued production and continued efficiency Thornton is putting in night after night, it certainly can not be long.
