Intrigued by heavy rock music; its culture and its fans, her debut fiction book, entitled “Rock Harder”, is written from the perspective of Zoe, a repressed rock chick who craves a walk on the wild side and whose personal rebellion becomes both an adventure of excess and a revelation of guarded secrets.
Often feeling that the brand “chick lit” lacks substance or thrills, Anna explained that she has endeavoured to offer more to her female readers. “Imagine this. You are an ordinary fan who has been given a backstage pass and an invitation to the after show party. How do you feel?” she asks. “The chance to meet larger than life characters and to laugh with them, share their problems, question their actions, breathe their passions, be excited by the same music that excites them and still crave more is an undeniable opportunity!
Anna Ghislena lives in Hertfordshire with her husband, children and one guinea pig. She is a regular contributor to online music sites for which she writes reviews and interviews artists. She has already started her next book and is currently working on new projects associated with “Rock Harder”.
