The theme of the School’s annual flagship thought leadership event – now in its tenth year – is ‘Beyond Heroes, Villains and Scapegoats – The Future of Leadership’. The summit, which takes place on 20 May 2013 at The Brewery, will bring together business leaders with unique insights into the 2008 financial crisis and the critical questions still being asked about effective leadership, corporate governance, management skills and regulatory frameworks that allowed it to happen.
Professor Sir Andrew Likierman, Dean, London Business School, said: “This platform will enable a deeper debate about the systemic frailties of existing structures and models of leadership.
“Combining the experience of high profile decision makers with the expertise of London Business School faculty, we will discuss models of leadership that are capable of rebuilding the political, corporate, environmental and social landscape.”
Lucrezia Reichlin, Professor of Economics, London Business School and former Director General for Research at the European Central Bank, is one of the School’s world class faculty speaking on the panel: ‘Beyond reforms and recriminations – The future of financial leadership’. This part of the day promises an honest look – without the hysteria – at the global finance industry and the reform that is critical to its future and the future of the global economy as a whole.
