Apple Tops With 16 Percent In Mobile Market In Japan

March 7, 2013 - PRLog -- A research organized by Counterpoint Research it has been found that Apple has secured 16 percent market share in Japan in fourth quarter of the year and 15 percent for the whole of the year 2012. Here, it is to know that Apple has already overtaken the local champion sharp of Japan before. But it is only a short span of time that the company has accompanied in product releases.

Apple’s iPhone 4S has launched in 2011 but that was not accompanied. Apple has overtaken Sharp last year and ended the six year reign of that company. Now, Apple is top brand name in Japanese electronic market.

The research director at Counter Point, Piter Richardson has stated that Japan is once again considered as Galapagos Island. He also stated that the Island has it has personal and distinctive cellular technology. The technology is far more advance and expert than any other mobile technology of the world.

Other market of the world is far behind from this technology. Nearly it is impossible for any foreign technology to meet with the advancement of the cellular technology of Japan. Any other technology fails to penetrate in Japanese market. Motorola and Nokia both had failed to this. But the situation has changed with the wave of smart phones in present days. Now, it is clear that a Japanese market is same as other market of the world that can change for the better or worse.

Counterpoint Research also noted that the foreign mobile phone brand like Samsung, HTC and LG covers 50 percent of the market during last quarter of the year 2012. The research reports also show that even a Chinese brand Huawei have seen a three fold increase in sales even in short period.
