PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 6, 2013 - Beverly Hills, CA - (March 5, 2013) The Israeli Leadership Council (ILC), a non-profit organization committed to building an active and giving Israeli-American community. The ILC’s goals are to build a bridge between the Jewish American and Israeli communities in Los Angeles and supporting the State of Israel. The organization will celebrate its 5th Annual Gala on March 10, 2013 at the Beverly Hilton International Ballroom.
The sold out evening will honor Israeli philanthropist and businesswoman Shari Arison for her global commitment to “doing good.” Shari Arison is the richest woman in Israel. Dr. Daniel Gold, the mastermind behind Israel’s Iron Dome Defense System, will be the evening’s keynote speaker. Iron Dome System protected Israel from thousands of rockets launched by Hamas from the Gaza Strip on November 2012. Actor and producer Noa Tishby will host the evening. The headliner for the evening’s entertainment is international superstar Ishtar Alabina.
"I am grateful from the bottom of my heart for the honor given to me by the ILC for my philanthropic activities in Israel,” said Shari Arison “If we adopt the principles of Good Deeds Day, an initiative I started in Israel seven years ago, throughout the year, I am certain that we will successfully create a critical mass of people who will bring essential change in the world, because if we start to think good, speak good and do good – our world will look different.”
The mission of the ILC is to build an active and giving Israeli-American community in order to strengthen the State of Israel, the next generation and to provide a bridge to the Jewish-American community. Through numerous programs, community-wide events and professional and financial resources it provides to other organizations, the ILC is helping create a united and vibrant Israeli-American community.
Shawn Evenhaim, the Chairman of the ILC said: “Over the past two years, the ILC has expanded its activities tremendously, from reaching out to 3,000 people in 2010 to almost 50,000 this year. We intend to maintain this growth by continue to provided excellent programs and activities to our community in the coming years ”. The ILC’s crowning achievement is the Celebrate Israel Festival, celebrating Israeli Day Of Independence, with an attendance of 15,000 people. The festival was the biggest Jewish celebration in North America.
The establishment of the Israeli Leadership Council in 2007 has made possible an organized and synergetic Israeli-American community in Los Angeles through empowerment, philanthropy and activism. The vision of the founders was to serve the common good of Los Angeles, other major metropolitan cities with populations of Israeli-Americans, as well as strengthen the relationship between the United States and the State of Israel.
