), a founding member of the California Green Business Program (http://www.dtsc.ca.gov/PollutionPrevention/p2gbp.cfm
), the bank joins a list of the state’s most environmentally responsible companies.

"The bank has taken critical steps to reduce waste, increase recycling, and implement a comprehensive approach to energy efficiency, water conservation, and more. We are proud to include Fremont Bank on our list of companies committed to sustainable business practices.”
Fremont Bank currently recycles all confidential paper, old electronic equipment, toner cartridges, light bulbs and batteries. Last year, the bank also partnered with the City of Hayward (http://www.ci.hayward.ca.us/
) to enhance its recycling program to include mixed recyclables and organic material recycling. Only biodegradable cups, plates and utensils are used in the bank’s break rooms, and its janitorial staff exclusively uses certified green cleaning products.
“Fremont Bank has worked hard to reach higher standards of environmental performance by conserving resources and preventing pollution,” said Sandi Redmond, director of facilities and logistic services. “This certification is a credit to the bank’s leadership and associates who have made caring for the environment a top and ongoing bank priority.”
