Nissan Drops Price on 2013 Frontier and Improves Fuel Efficiency

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 6, 2013 - Going on its eighth model year on the market, Nissan decided it was time to give its Frontier pickup a freshening for 2013, and to entice customers to consider its oldie but goody truck, the company has improved fuel efficiency, dropped prices on some models by a significant amount, and re-configured option packages to add more tech and convenience features on popular trims. The price on the base Frontier S King Cab with the four-cylinder engine and manual transmission drops $1270 to $18,835, including destination, and the Frontier SV Crew Cab drops $1450 to $24,835.

Nissan also incrementally improved fuel economy on some models by as much as 2 mpg. Two-wheel drive V-6 automatic models go from 15/20 to 16/22 on the EPA test, and 4×4 V-6 automatic models go from 14/19 to 15/21. Manual two-wheel-drive models see a 2 mpg highway improvement, and manual 4×4 models get a 1 mpg bump in both city and highway ratings.

The Desert Runner package, combining the styling and suspension hardware from the 4×4 model on a two-wheel-drive model (think Nissan’s version of the Tacoma PreRunner) returns for 2013, and navigation is finally available on the top-trim SL and the Pro-4X trim with the Luxury Package. A display audio head unit is available on SV, Desert Runner and Pro-4X models. Finally, Glacier White, Graphite Blue and Cayenne Red are added as color options for 2013. All 2013 Frontier models also get a new rear tailgate spoiler.
