Congratulations to Michelle Marrero Caregiverlist’
Hillside, Illinois Caregiver
Caregiver since 1988
Michelle says that what led her into the career of caregiving is that she likes to help people and loves to make them happy. She enjoys working with people, communicating with them and making them feel comfortable as it is very important.
She believes that her most memorable caregiving experience was when she was working with an elderly man who was so kind and happy. One day when she came into his room because she had to bathe him and take to him to have breakfast, he took her hand and said "You are such a wonderful granddaughter, may God Bless You". Those words stayed with her all these years. Michelle says "He was such a great person".
Being a caregiver has taught her to learn everything that she can.
This caregiver manages the stress that comes with caregiving by keeping her mind, and body busy. That includes listening to lovely music, cleaning, washing, or even having a nice tranquil conversation with the person.
