March 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Shoe Revolt is a non-profit organization that auctions celebrity shoes to raise funds to deploy a social franchising model called Teen Revolt Chapters (teenrevolt.org) across the nation. The Teen Revolt Chapter’s mission is to educate, engage, and empower youth to take the lead in the fight against domestic sex trafficking through peer-to-peer involvement, training, activism, and social enterprise development.

Shoe Revolt expresses its deepest thanks and sincerest regards to Julia Ormond for her donation of her boots worn in Legends of the Fall. Selfless donations such as hers allow Shoe Revolt to auction footwear through eBay and deliver one hundred percent of the profits to Teen Revolt Chapters nationwide.

Revolt means to rise up and fight against the injustice of modern day slavery of human beings.

In 2007, Ormond testified as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador before a UN committee to combat human trafficking. She expressed the urgency to improve work and sharpen the focus on the roots of the problem by increasing education and fighting poverty, because, as she said in her briefing:

“Human trafficking is something that is in all countries and in most trades [and] is the largest growing global problem.”

Julia Ormond can be seen in critically acclaimed films and television series alike. Recently, she earned an Emmy nomination for her performance on AMC TV’s Emmy award winning series Mad Men. Her impressive filmography includes Legends of the Fall, Che: Part I and Che: Part II, the Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and My Week with Marilyn.
