A Speechcraft is a series of short, practical courses in public speaking for members of the public looking get over their fear of public speaking—becoming a better speaker, thinking, listener and leader. Attendees will be a part of a learning, supportive and friendly environment. This will also be an opportunity to meet new people, network, while learning about Toastmasters (http://www.toastmasters.org/
In addition, attendees of this Speechcraft will:
Gain confidence when speaking in public, giving presentations, and at job interviews
Develop communication, language and listening skills
Learn how to clarify your thoughts quickly and use body language and visual aids effectively
Advance your social skills and improve your confidence when meeting new situations
Improve your job promotion prospects
In addition to having the opportunity to give 2-3 speeches, attendees will hear speeches from Speakerpreneur Toastmasters (http://speakerpreneur.org/
The action packed, interactive sessions will include Table Topics, which will allow attendees to give impromptu speeches on various subjects. There will be a chance to join Toastmasters during the Speechcraft and any speeches performed during that workshop will go towards the Toastmasters Program and the Competent Leadership award.
About Speakerpreneur Toastmasters
Speakerpreneur Toastmasters is located in Greensboro, NC and is housed and sponsored by The Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship. The club, a division of Toastmasters International, was chartered in March 2010 and is (although not limited to) compromised of 75% entrepreneurs. Speakerpreneur Toastmasters is open to the public and meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday, from 12:00pm – 1:15pm at The Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship.
