Follow on Google News | Chevrolet to Offer Free Scheduled Maintenance on the Silverado 1500The new maintenance promotion will come standard on any 2013 Silverado 1500 sold or leased during the months of March and April.
The thought behind the whole promotion is that it will help Chevy dealerships sell or lease the remaining 2013 models, targeting car buyers who may be hesitant to purchase a new pickup truck. Free scheduled maintenance on the 2013 Silverado 1500 will include routine oil changes, oil filter replacements, tire rotations, and vehicle inspections. This deal is good for two years or 24,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Chevrolet sales chief Don Johnson said during a conference call discussing GM’s sales results for the month of February that it was because of the results of applying this free scheduled maintenance program to the Sierra and the overwhelming positive feedback from customers that convinced Chevrolet to use the same strategy on the Silverado. Sales on the Silverado were up 29% when compared to the previous year as 41,643 units were sold. The Sierra also saw an increase in sales numbers, up 25% with just over 14,000 models sold. GM’s sales as a whole rose 7%, marking their best February since 2008. For car consumers looking to purchase a new Chevy pickup truck, now is the time to take advantage of the free scheduled maintenance offer on the 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. This deal is only available through the end of April, so buyers have a limited time to take part in this promotion.
