Local photographers show their work; limited prints available at photopatron.com
PRLog (Press Release) -
Mar. 5, 2013 - With the upload of it's 300th photograph, photopatron.com, a startup founded in December by San Francisco resident Patrick Philbin, is quickly asserting itself to be the leading site for Bay Area photographers. " Photographers in the Bay Area were missing a cohesive space to build a community online, " Philbin said in a recent interview, " and I wanted to bridge that gap with a site that allows artists to showcase their work, give and receive advice and critiques, and potentially make some money at the same time." The money making aspect of photopatron.com comes from it's partnership with San Francisco based printshop Photoworks SF. Once uploaded, photographs become limited edition prints that are available in 3 sizes, although Philbin emphasizes that custom sizes and framing are certainly available. With the current movement towards localization of everything from food products and clothing to produce and coffee, this website is filling a gap for the photography industry. For more information, or to purchase photographs, visit www.photopatron.com, or follow them on twitter: @photopatron.
