Continental Mitsubishi to host St. Baldrick’s Event on March 15th

It takes a community to cure childhood cancer (http://www.stbaldricks.org/). It is that time of year again to join Continental Mitsubishi and the St. Baldrick’s Foundation in the fight against childhood cancer.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a volunteer-driven charity dedicated to raising money for childhood cancer research (http://www.stbaldricks.org/where-the-money-goes/research-...), will host one of its signature head-shaving events at Continental Mitsubishi located at 5800 S. LaGrange Road in Countryside. All are warmly invited to the Continental Mitsubishi showroom on March 15th from 4pm to 8pm to attend this annual fund raising event. Join them for food, Irish Dancing and raffles. Be ready to watch dedicated volunteers shave their heads in solidarity with kids with cancer (http://www.stbaldricks.org/kids/) and raise money for life-saving children’s cancer research (http://www.stbaldricks.org/where-the-money-goes/).

Why all the shaved heads? Worldwide, more than 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year, and it remains the leading cause of death by disease among children in the United States. With only 4 percent of all federal cancer research funding dedicated to pediatric cancer (http://www.stbaldricks.org/where-the-money-goes/grants/) research, St. Baldrick’s Foundation grant funds are critical to continue the battle against this devastating disease.

Last year Continental raised almost $11,000 for the foundation. If you have never attended a St. Baldrick’s event, it will be a heart-warming and inspirational Friday night with your family guaranteed.
