March 5, 2013 - PRLog -- This 5K Run/ Fitness Walk event provides a great opportunity to get moving as well as support Naperville Woman’s Club. We encourage everyone to come out on race day. It is designed as a family friendly event, allowing strollers and pets.
Whether serious about running or just interested in a morning walk, the Giving DuPage Human Race provides a great venue. Race day is April 27, 2013, at the Esplanade at Locust Point, 1901 Butterfield Road Downers Grove, with racing to begin at 9 a.m. The event coincides with the final day of National Volunteer Week. The Woman’s Club wants to remodel the 1899 structure to meet ADA standards. The changes will respect the historic aspects of the building while making it accessible to persons with physical limitations. The Old Stone Church is a rare and excellent example of Gothic Revival architecture and used as a venue for programs to benefit young people, social support groups, art and life-long learning. We hope you will help by racing with us or making a donation. Every contribution is greatly appreciated.
