Winners of 2101 Records Rap Battle Contest Announced

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 6, 2013 - Rap Wars and 2101 Records announced today that the winners of the 2101 Battle with Prophet of 7Lions rap battle contest have been published. The five winners and the raps they submitted to battle have been published on the Rap Wars website and blog. As part of the prize package of 7Lions and Rap Wars merchandise they will also be promoted on the 2101 records and Rap Wars Facebook and Twitter pages.

In the first of its kind rap contest, rappers entered by challenging hiphop artist Prophet to a battle through the Rap Wars mobile app using an iPhone, Android phone, iPad or Android tablet. Prophet had provided his own rap for the contest plus  a custom beat called “Silly Sins”.  To enter the contest, entrants simply challenged Prophet to a battle, selected a rap beat from the Rap Wars beat library and then recorded their freestyle rap.

The contest winners were selected according to rating, popularity and style and were judged by Rap Wars and 2101 Records staff and Prophet himself.
