Wella Professional and Elle Magazine Sponsor A Red Carpet Fundraising Event in New York

March 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Elle Magazine invited a select group of subscribers to the red carpet evening at the Richard Scott Salon and Day Spa in Mt. Kisco, New York.The fully catered gala shall provide guests with guided tours of the 7000 sq. ft. newly renovated, upscale facility which includes a salon, day spa, hair replacement center and make-up studio.

The guests will be treated to complimentary beauty consultations, interact with fashion models, try their luck at raffles, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and networking opportunities with local neighboring businesses. Significant donations along with a portion of the product sales that evening will be donated to Hairdressers Helping Hairdressers (HHH) for the Professional Beauty Association’s (PBA), Disaster Relief Fund.

The staff and partners, Joseph Norris and Richard S. Mason, have been so greatly moved by the show of support at the event that they decided to contribute to the cause by bringing the noble efforts started by HHH to their local community. Fund-raising activities include a donation by the establishment of some $30 000 worth of annual V.I.P services for 10 hardworking and high achieving local women, Community Shining Stars. In addition, space at the event is being rented out to several local businesses interested in networking opportunities. Raffle tickets for a variety of prizes are currently on sale at the salon.

Richard Scott Salon and Day Spa is no stranger to disaster after the devastating effects of a fire in 2007. The business was nearly wiped out, however, with the help of neighboring salons that housed the staff for 5 months, they were able to rebuild and preserve their business.

By continuing the efforts to help hairdressers who lost their homes and businesses, the partners hope to inspire other salons to take up the challenge and bring the cause to their local communities. It is their firm belief that real, long-lasting impact can only be achieved by the strength that comes from a united front.  By giving back to the community and industry professionals affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy, Richard Scott Salon and Day Spa has adopted the charity HHH as one of its own causes. They hope to continue raising funds over the long term as well as building awareness about the important work being done and the lives that are being changed by the PBA Disaster Relief Fund.
