March 5, 2013 - PRLog -- It’s not often that you see a group of Brownies and Guides at a new housing development, but leading local housebuilder Peveril Homes recently invited a group of young gardeners to its Belper-based site to dig deep and get involved in a tree-planting exercise.

As part of an altogether woody initiative, Peveril has, this year, committed to donate £15 to The Woodland Trust for every home which it sells in 2013. In return, the trust will turn the monetary donation into saplings and also use it for the careful nurturing of trees and woodlands across the country.

The green-fingered group, from the Holbrook Group of Brownies and Guides, planted a willow and birch tree at the company’s Beaurepaire at Alton Manor development, which features a selection of three- and four-bedroom homes.

Verena Skelton, Brown Owl for the Holbrook Group of Brownies and Guides, comments: “We were delighted to be involved in the planting exercise. Planting trees and learning about looking after the world is part of their ‘World Issue’ badge. They have to think about the impact which we have all around the world by our actions and learn how we can improve the quality of life for others, including animals and birds.”

In addition to the hands-on planting exercise, Peveril also gave the Brownies and Guides book vouchers as a thankyou for taking part.

Angela Thomas, sales and marketing manager for Peveril Homes, comments: “It was great to be able to welcome the local Brownies and Guides to our site – and we hope that they enjoyed their morning of planting on what was a very cold day!”

As a popular family development, Beaurepaire currently features a collection of desirable family homes.

A charming four-bedroom detached Claremont is ideal for families wanting a little extra space; an attractive double-fronted three-bedroom Lichfield house type is ideal for those wanting to make the next move up the property ladder; a majestic four-bedroom Ashbourne is a breathtaking family home; the superb three-bedroom Taunton house type is ideal for couples and small families alike. Prices start from £167,950 on the current price list.

The development is perfectly situated off Nailers Way, in Belper, Derbyshire. With the unspoilt natural beauty of the Peak District on the doorstep and a wealth of local amenities available, it’s no wonder that this thriving market town is a popular place to call home.

The development couldn’t be better located to access the county town, Derby. For travelling further afield, the nearby A6 and A38 offer convenient links to the UK’s road network, while Derby boasts a mainline railway station, with direct routes to London St Pancras International.

To find out more about the properties available at Beaurepaire at Alton Manor, visit the development 11am–5pm, Thursday–Monday. Contact the sales office: 01773 882871 | www.peverilhomes.co.uk
