Picking up two prestigious awards at a glittering award ceremony held in London last Thursday the company ranked 2nd in the list of Best Companies to work for which employ between 250 and 4,999 people and ranked 2nd in the list of Best Companies to work for in the UK overall.
Listed alongside large businesses such as Admiral Group (11th), BMW (76th), Bravissimo (13th) and TGI Fridays (3rd) the group were already delighted to be recognised as one of the top 100 UK companies to work for. Receiving the award for ranking 2nd overall out of the 100 listed companies was a fantastic unexpected achievement.
The money saving group founded in 2005 by Swansea businessman Neville Wilshire, were also awarded a Three Star Accreditation by Best Companies, as demonstrating an "extraordinary focus on workplace engagement as an integral component of an organisation's success and growth".
CEO Nev Wilshire expressed his delight at the award. “When I found out that we had made the 100 I was delighted. To finish 2nd above so many large and well-known companies was a real honour. It is my belief that happy employees are the best employees and we have strived to make SBM a happy and stimulating place to work”.
Save Britain Money employs around 900 people in its Swansea HQ and regional offices and offers a range of money saving products and services to customers across the UK.
The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For lists has been derived from entries of 896 organisations and has surveyed over 240,000 employees to carry out an evaluation of each company's key statistics, processes and policies.
Measured on workplace engagement and the level of commitment to staff, organisations stretching the length and breadth of the UK enter the annual competition in the hope of being recognised as a great place to work for.
