Collegiate Athlete Suffers Multiple Concussions, Finds Concussion Recovery at MindMenders Clinic

Multiple Concussions Leads Athletes to MindMenders Concussion Treatments and Therapy

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 5, 2013 - Flower Mound, Texas – March 5, 2013 – Athletes struggling with concussions receive rest and medications, but only real recovery from MindMenders Clinic.

An SMU soccer player, Katie Bass, was once a pre-Olympic star, but went through a complete personality change after years of “mild” concussions.  After her final reported concussion, “Her grades started to drop. She was losing focus. Her personality changed completely. She was extremely moody and irritable,” explained her mom, Kelly Bass.

Although Katie received medical care elsewhere, “we couldn’t get her to the point that she wasn’t having headaches, where she was feeling good back to her old self,” said Mrs. Bass. http://youtu.be/3dGS-NAN_wE

Prior to visiting MindMenders Clinic, the doctors rested Katie, but after the last concussion it was decided to prescribe her medication. “Within two weeks on the medicine, she was a complete shell of herself…refusing to get up or go to school. She didn’t want to put her cleats on ever again,” states Bass.

Finally Mrs. Bass saw a flyer and sent her daughter to MindMenders Clinic, “She (Katie) came in and went through the protocol. Within a few weeks we began to see a big difference,” explained Bass.

Fortunately for Katie and others, Dr. St. Laurent uses a multifaceted protocol to address concussion symptoms and return patients back to health. “The multifaceted approach is the optimal way to pinpoint brain dysfunction and address concussion symptomatology; thus, evaluating an athlete pre- and post-concussion is the way to care for athletes,” states Dr. St. Laurent of MindMenders Clinic.

MindMenders ensures a significant decrease in symptoms such as headaches and sensitivities because it improves overall brain function even from injuries suffered years ago.
