Christian Rock Album Release for Easter Season

March 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Just in time for the 2013 celebration of Easter season, John Michael has released Let Us Bring Light the second album featuring the work of the southern Californian Christian singer/songwriter. The album was recorded and mastered in Diamond Bar, CA at Wisdom of Angels Studios.

Not content to churn out a "soundalike" to 2012's rock-centered Come to the Table, John Michael explores new ground with Let Us Bring Light, exposing classical, gospel, southern rock, and reggae influences. Written and produced by John Michael, the 12-track album brings new instruments such as saxophone and cello into the mixes. The new album also marks a collaboration with other vocalists, Haleigh Bowers and Angelina Smith contributing lead vocals to three of the tracks. The album's title Let Us Bring Light is as much a call to action as it is a reflection of the nature of its production.

Let Us Bring Light released for digital distribution through iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby, and other online retailers on Ash Wednesday, February 13. The date, marking the beginning of Lent, is fitting for the album, which contains several songs with a Holy Week theme, including "Holy Are You", "Into Your Hands", and culminating with the joyous Easter song "Jesus Is Risen”.

Previously with the Christian band Vertical Hold, John Michael struck out on his own in 2009 and turned his attention to music once more, serving quietly as an instrumentalist at several local area churches, https://www.facebook.com/johnmichaelmusician.

A performer since childhood, Haleigh Bowers has performed at numerous sporting competitions and community event and is one of the lead vocalists for a large southern California church. Angelina Smith is a child prodigy just beginning her career as a performer, this is her first appearance.
