Brigade, Downtown LA’s Premiere High End Boutique, To Show SS 2013 Collections At LA Fashion Week

March 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Since 2011, Brigade has been bringing a slice of Robertson Blvd’s high-end fashion to the Downtown community. Now come LA Fashion Week, the luxury boutique will debut the best of its SS 2013 collections at the St. Vibiana. Unlike traditional fashion shows where attendees wait until next season to make their purchases, Brigade’s “Ready at Retail” collection will be available immediately. Shoppers can purchase anything they see on the runway at the brick and mortar location. Guests at the fashion show will also receive a 5% off certificate good for any purchase.

Brigade became a main player in the Downtown retail scene through owner and founder, Kuo Yang’s, entrepreneurial eye. He recognized the development opportunities and the lack of retailers that offered high-quality merchandise in Downtown Los Angeles. That led him to start a pop-up shop that sold cotton tees and other premium basics. He eventually grew this business, evolving it into a brick and mortar store that we now call. The boutique still carries premium basics, but has also diversified into multiple Ready-To-Wear categories that houses both contemporary and luxury brands like Current Elliot, Elizabeth & James, Vivienne Westwood, L.A.M.B, and Alice & Olivia. “There was a void in quality apparel in this market. We recognized that and Brigade is now filling it by satisfying the needs of the high-end Downtown LA consumer,” says Yang.

Aside from being dubbed as a prominent retailer in the urban city area, Brigade is also known for its role as a major player in the revitalization of Downtown Los Angeles. Yang is an active community member who participates in numerous city efforts to promote business & residential growth in the urban city center. He is also active in Veterans affairs, being a former member of the United States Marine Corp. The boutique’s name, Brigade, actually hints at Yang’s military background, as the word refers to a group of military personnel organized for a special activity. For Yang, that mission is to bring a high-end luxury shopping destination in the urban city center, as well as to revitalize and deliver prosperity back to LA’s Downtown community.
